Heart Reflections

A Heart Postured in Gratitude

What if gratitude is the key that opens your heart to see what God has been doing all along?

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His mercy endures forever.”Psalm 136:1

Gratitude is more than a feeling. It is a posture of the heart that realigns us with the goodness of God. When we pause long enough to reflect, we begin to see His fingerprints in places we once overlooked.

Thankfulness teaches the heart to slow down. It reminds us that God has been faithful in ways we did not always recognize. Gratitude opens our eyes to the daily mercies that quietly sustain us. The breath in our lungs. The strength to rise again. The peace that guarded us in difficult seasons. The moments of joy that held us when we felt fragile.

A grateful heart is a surrendered heart. It releases complaint and clings to truth. It chooses to trust even when the season feels heavy. Gratitude anchors the soul because it shifts our attention from what is missing to the presence of the One who never leaves.

Thankfulness is worship in its purest form. It is the heart whispering, “Lord, I see You. Even here, You are good.”

As you reflect today, take a moment to name the gifts God has placed in your life. Some are loud, others are subtle, but all are evidence of His love. Gratitude turns these moments into altars where we encounter Him again.ery good thing comes from God.
